Degree Programs
Students returning to college may take a limited number of courses as a non-matriculated student (a non-matriculated student is one who has not yet been accepted for admission to the University). In order to register, you must see an academic advisor from the Office of Continuing Studies. At the Center City campus, students should set up an appointment with our Academic and Student Services Coordinator at tuccadv@temple.edu or call 215-204-4358. Adult Learners
Returning to school may be easier than you think at Temple University Center City. Our campus has served working adult students since 1973 with undergraduate and graduate classes. Most classes are offered during the evening or on weekends. Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab
Sponsored by the Klein College of Media and Communication and located at Temple Center City, the Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab (MURL) at Temple University is a fully functioning newsroom featuring access to the AP wire, digital recorders, video equipment and wireless networking. PhiladelphiaNeighborhoods is a publication of MURL and is the cornerstone of the Department of Journalism’s mission to better tell stories in the undercovered and underserved neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania Innocence Project
The Center City campus is the home base for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, a collaboration between the Beasley School of Law and Philadelphia’s legal community. The Pennsylvania Innocence Project works to exonerate those convicted of crimes they did not commit and to prevent innocent people from being convicted. The Pennsylvania Innocence Project has a four-fold mission to: secure the exoneration, release from imprisonment, and restoration to society of persons who are innocent and have been wrongly convicted; provide clinical training and experience to students in the fields of law, journalism, criminal justice, and forensic science; collaborate with law enforcement agencies and the courts to address systemic causes of wrongful convictions; and strengthen and improve the effectiveness of the criminal justice system in Pennsylvania through public education and advocacy.
